Photo Description: Bats leaving Deer Cave, Gunung Mulu National Park. As dusk descends, millions of bats pour out of Deer Cave, beginning their daily foraging commute (to as far as the coast, over fifty miles away). It is indeed more spectactular than any natural event I have ever witnessed. I watched for over two hours as a dense, black line of bats snaked its way across the horizon. I cannot decribe it justly.
