Bradford's Favorite Travel Photos Photograph #74 Location: Uncle Tan's Jungle Camp, near Sandakan, Sabah Province, Malaysian Borneo Google Earth Coordinates:
Date: February 2005 Format and Resolution: Digital (photo available in 1200 X 1600 resolution) Photo Description: A Water Monitor I observed only metres from my hut while on a 4-day jungle expedition at Uncle Tan's Jungle Camp ! The camped is located on the Sungai Kinabatangan (Sungai means river) and is indeed a very special place. We went on numerous treks and boat trips every day (morning, noon and late at night). The number of exotic birds, inscects and wildlife I saw, including Proboscis Monkeys and Rhinoceros Hornbills, was stunning. The Kinabatangan River is among the riches rivers in Borneo and the world for viewing wildlife in its pristine habitat.
